How this works: The grid landed tariff converts your monthly demand charge into a per-unit equivalent (demand charge × contracted demand ÷ monthly consumption), adds energy, fuel surcharge and other charges, then applies electricity duty. The open access landed tariff sums generation cost, transmission, wheeling, CSS, additional surcharge, losses (applied on generation), scheduling/banking and standby charges, then applies duty. Monthly and annual savings are calculated on the portion of consumption met through open access (your "Open Access Share"); cumulative projections assume constant rates for simplicity.
